AAVS Encryption Software

Welcome to the AAVS Encrypt, our original 56-bit encryption software for Windows!

We use our original encryption algorythm that was never published, and is not known to people that break encryption codes. This, together with other features, makes our encryption much stronger than standard 56-bit encryption, but still legal for use outside the US.

Remove ALL the traces of your computer use and online activity with Evidence Eliminator.

Protect your phone, fax and modem from legal and illegal wiretaps with wiretap detector.

Features

We offer 2 versions of encryption program:

  • Basic version ($5.00 one computer, $1.00 each additional computer) that can encrypt or decrypt a single file - available now;
  • Enhanced version ($10.00 one computer, $2.00 each additional computer) that can process wildcards and subdirectories - will be developed later.

Both versions can work interactively and from command line. Detailed syntax is displayed in the main window. Everyone who buys now will have access to all the improvements and bug fixes.

Strong encryption

As we told you before, we use our original encryption algorythm that was never published, and is not known to people that break encryption codes. This, just by itself, makes our encryption much stronger than standard 56-bit algorythms.

Another reason why our encryption is very hard to break is that with most other encryption algorythms, if you almost find the password, i.e. if you guess the password that differs by one character from the correct one, and use it to decrypt, the result will differ from the original file, but still be recognizable, which will make it easy to find the correct password. It is the most common method of breaking the code.

With our encryption program, even if you guess a password that is incorrect in just one bit, you will get a file that is totally messed up, so, you wouldn't even know that you were close. Therefore, it would take many times more time, money, and computing power to guess your password.

Taking these two factors into consideration, it is practically impossible to get unauthorized access to data encrypted with our program.

Easy to use

The command line syntax is really simple. The detailed command line syntax is permanently displayed in the program's main window, and fits 640x480 screen.

In addition to possibility to use the command line, you can use Encrypt and Decrypt menu items under the File group. It will pop up a dialog box that lets you to browse for source and destination files or type them in, and select any options.

If there is any syntax error or run-time problem, such as conflicting options or insufficient access rigths to a file, it will display a message box with clear explanation of the problem. Also, if you are using command line, it will display correct syntax in the same dialog box.

System requirements

Our encryption program can work on any IBM PC compatible computer with 486 and higher CPU. Non-technically speaking, any PC manufactured in 1995 and later is suitable.

The program requires 32-bit Windows operating system, which includes Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows XP.

Any computer that can run any of these operating systems has enough RAM (memory) to run our program.

The program requires about 200K of disk space to download.

Performance

When tested on the most obsolete computer we could find, the program encrypted about 1MB in a second. Any computer made in 1997 and later will be able to process at least 2MB/sec, and modern computers (May 2002) crunch 5 to 10 MB in a second.

The command line syntax is :

Encrypt Source Destination {/EN|/DE}:password [/DEL[/FORCE]] [/OVR[/FORCE]]
/EN & /DEAction (encrypt or decrypt)
Source & Destination file specifications, can be the same
/DELDelete source file after encryption/decryption
/FORCE Force delete or overwrite of read only / system / hidden file
/OVR overwrite if destination file exists. Mandatory if source and destination files are the same
More details, including the correct file name, when you buy and download the program.

How you can use basic version efficiently

We are currently working on the enhanced version of our encryption program that will be able to process multiple files, wildcards and subdirectories.

Basic version, that is available now, can process one file at a time. But it doesn't mean that you cannot use it to encrypt/decrypt multiple files in one command. Here are few ideas described below.

You can write a batch file (file with extension .BAT) that will launch several encryption or decryption commands. You don't have to store the password in a batch file, it can be passed as a command line parameter. Below is the example of a batch file (let's call it Encrypt.bat) that does it.

Encrypt Source1 Destination1 /EN:%1
Encrypt Source2 Destination2 /EN:%1
Encrypt Source3 Destination3 /EN:%1

You can use it by launching a single command Encrypt.bat password. The %1 in a batch file will be replaced with password you typed in.

You can use WinZip or PowerZip or any other file compression software. Some of the programs you can find by following the latest link are even free. Chances are that you are already using WinZip.

These programs provide really advanced interface that allows to select multiple files, wildcard specifications and subdirectories, and place them into an archive file. It would really take us a long time to create compatible interface.

So, you can use any of these file compression programs and store all the files that need to be encrypted in a single archive file, and then use our encryption software to encrypt this archive.

It would be more secure than encrypting each file individually or using a batch file, because no one will be able to see the names and sizes of original files.

We are planning to create our original version of file compression software. Although it wouldn't have all the fancy features of WinZip or PowerZip, it will perform all the essential functions, and it will cost several times less than least expensive compression software available anywhere else.

Warning : Don't rely on encryption or password protection provided by file compression programs. They are usually very weak, and often provide "back-door" access.

Download trial version

You can download trial version free of charge. It is fully operable and fully compatible with paid version. However, it displays annoying messages while it works. It is not recommended to encrypt/decrypt large (over 1MB) files with this version, because you will have to respond to too many message boxes.

Encrypt7.exe trial version. 184 KB. Release 08/27/2002.

Please, don't run it from our web site. Download it to your hard drive.

Trial version can be freely distributed, providing that it is not modified in any way.
